Gathering of the Titans, book II of the Tol Chronicles, is now available. The audio book of Goblinopolis is also now available on Audible, read by yours truly. Book III is underway, but I haven't decided on a title yet.

I've begun writing book II of the Tol Chronicles, working title Gathering of the Titans. I took some time off between Goblinopolis and GotT to write a more traditional fantasy called Ex Officio which I'm shopping around to publishers right now. Hopefully that means I'll release at least two books in 2014. I plan to write at least two a year for the foreseeable future.

More About N'plork

I have written a guide called The Mythologies of N'plork that, under the guise of CoME Cultural Sociography Series #27 (excerpted at the beginning of Goblinopolis), delves more deeply into the history, geography, and religious systems of the various races of N'plork, the planet on which the novel's events take place. I'm toying with the idea of publishing it here in serial form. Anyone interested in reading it?

Goblinopolis has shipped!

The novel has finally shipped. This first printing is a special edition expressly for Lone Star Con 3 (WorldCon), with a "Limited Edition" imprint. After the con we'll be putting out the regular trade paperback which will be available at all the usual online outlets and in eBook format as well. For further info see my Facebook Author page.

Progress Report #1

Goblinopolis galley proofs have been approved. There will probably be one final set of proofs to go through before the first print run. That first run will be a relatively small one, the purpose for which will be to produce a special edition for WorldCon only. The cover art is still in production, as the first drafts were rejected by the publisher. The artwork was excellent, but we felt they simply didn't convey the depth and complexity of the world well enough. I'm waiting for the second round of drafts; should be very soon.

I've also started drafting plots and characters for book two. Teasers will follow when they're ready.
